Rottweiler Facts

Color - Black with distinctive tan markings over cheeks, muzzle, chest, and legs, as well as over both eyes.

Coat - Straight coarse and of medium length, "Rotties" are double coated and tend to "blow out" their undercoats twice a year.

Size - Medium to large. Males range from 95 - 135 Lbs. Females tend to be smaller from 80 - 110 Lbs. German Rottweilers tend to be short, stocky, and muscular.

Temperment - Well trained Rottweilers are known for being intelligent, obedient, loyal, and excellent guard dogs. Rottweilers are pre-diposed to a certain level of aloofness, making them unlikely to form immediate friendships, preffering the long time relationships of their family. They are also highly self confident, and even tend to be known as comedians from time to time.
